Missouri LMSWs — individual & group supervision available.

Starting your path toward clinical licensure is exciting — but it can also feel overwhelming. The right supervision can make all the difference in how confident, skilled, and prepared you feel as a clinician.

I provide Missouri LCSW clinical supervision that’s supportive, individualized, and grounded in both evidence-based practice and real-world application. My approach blends a deep commitment to ethical, culturally responsive care with practical tools you can use immediately in your work.

Whether you’re working in community mental health, private practice, or a hybrid setting, I’ll help you navigate complex cases, strengthen your clinical judgment, and develop your professional identity. As a supervisor, I’m invested in your growth — not just in meeting the state’s requirements, but in helping you become the kind of clinician you want to be.

Why My Supervision is Different

My supervision style is collaborative, transparent, and rooted in mutual respect. I bring 10+ years of clinical experience, advanced training in trauma-informed care, and a background in LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodivergent support. I also integrate humor, authenticity, and a strengths-based perspective — because professional growth doesn’t have to feel intimidating.

Multiple hands stacked together in a show of unity, with some wearing rings, on a sandy background.

Why Work With Me

  • I’m Stevie Fichtenmayer, LCSW — a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and clinical supervisor based in St. Louis, Missouri. I’ve been in the mental health field for a decade, and I’m passionate about helping new clinicians grow into confident, ethical, and grounded social workers. My supervision is a blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and a collaborative, affirming approach.

  • I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2013 and am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Missouri (License #2018009776). My professional experience spans community mental health centers, school-based programs, hospitals, residential facilities, and group practice settings. Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations navigating trauma, identity transitions, neurodivergence, and other life challenges — experience I bring into every supervision conversation.

    • Trauma treatment, including EMDR therapy

    • LGBTQIA+ affirming care

    • Neurodivergent support (ADHD & autism)

    • Cultural humility & working with diverse identities

    • Navigating ethical dilemmas & professional boundaries

    • Building a sustainable, values-driven clinical practice

  • My path has taken me from front-line community work to private practice ownership, with thousands of hours of direct client care and supervision. I’ve been trained in multiple evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, CBT, and DBT skills, and continue to expand my clinical knowledge through ongoing training. I’ve also navigated the realities of working in high-demand systems — and I’m committed to helping supervisees find balance, resilience, and joy in the work.

  • Supervision with me is not about checking boxes — it’s about developing your professional identity, clinical skills, and confidence. Our sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. We’ll review cases, explore ethical considerations, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate your wins. My goal is to help you feel prepared not just to pass licensure requirements, but to thrive in your career long after supervision ends.

Let’s Talk About Your Supervision Goals.

Supervision is more than meeting licensure requirements — it’s a space to grow your confidence, refine your skills, and feel supported as you step into your full clinical voice.
